PAINTING:
|
We use HVLP spray guns to spray Awlgrip2 linear polyurethane paint on hullsides and decks, and we make fiberglass and gelcoat repairs. Our painters sand and paint bottoms; we recommend Interlux and Petit Paints; racing bottoms are one of our specialties. We sandblast utilizing Sharpshot EPA approved sand, and paint masts and outdrives. By now you can tell that boat painting is a large part of our business.

Re-rigging masts. Installing and troubleshooting electronics. Engine installation and service, repairing dry rot, teak cabinetry, plank replacement. Welding: stainless steel railings, radar arches, bow pulpits. Changing cutlass bearings, valves, and repacking shafts. |
| DO-IT-YOURSELF:
|
Owners are welcome. We provide electricity, compressed air, water and space to work on your own boat. We invite subcontractors to work in our yard as long as they have insurance, and of course family members and crew can help. However, the yard does all the sandblasting and spray painting. We have in-water work slips where owners may come for a few days to do topside work. We are available to give advice on how to do it right. |
| THE CHANDLERY:
|
Better known as our marine hardware store. We do not provide float coats or charts, but a complete line of fasteners, paints, valves, bearings, etc.; all that is needed to repair a boat. We are open 6 days a week, although we do not haul boats on Saturday. If you really need a chart, West Marine is on Main Street Ventura, 2 miles from us.
